
Samuel
W. Cullison, M.D., Residency Director
Dr. Cullison is
a board-certified family physician and was in private practice for 16 years
before coming to the Cherry Hill as director in 1994.
An undergraduate at Indiana
University, Dr. Cullison completed the University of Missouri-Columbia School of
Medicine. He did his family
medicine
residency at the
University of Washington, Seattle.
He
is board-certified in family
medicine
and in geriatrics and is certified in addiction medicine. Dr. Cullison practices
family medicine in our clinic and hospital and helps coordinate our geriatric
curriculum. He is active in substance-abuse treatment and research. He is a past
president of the Washington Academy of Family Physicians (WAFP) and the
Washington State Medical Association (WSMA). He is a
recent past (for a total of
9 years)
member of the
Residency Review Committee (RRC) on Family
Medicine,
the group that accredits all U.S. family
medicine
residencies.
In addition, he serves as vice president of the University of Washington Family
Medicine residency network as well as a member of board of directors of the
Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.
Dr. Cullison and his wife, Beth, have two college-aged sons. In his free time,
he enjoys running, technology, playing blues guitar and traveling.
