Behavioral Medicine

Thursday at noon, Behavioral Science Balint Group discussions are attended by the R2 and R3 residents and facilitated by Drs. Wayne Katon and Family Medicine Faculty. During the second hour, lectures on behavioral topics are presented, patients are interviewed by Dr. Katon or interesting and/or challenging cases are discussed. R1s participate in a separate Balint, the Finding Meaning in Medicine group, which meets monthly and focuses on emotional and spiritual aspects of medicine.
