
Setsuko
Hosoda, M.D., M.P.H.
Dr. Hosoda
joined the faculty in the fall of 2003. She is a board-certified family
physician who graduated from the Providence Family Medicine Residency, now
Swedish Cherry Hill, in 1999. Dr. Hosoda holds a bachelor’s degree in
psychology from Cornell University, with a minor in fine arts/photography. She
completed medical school at the University of Michigan and obtained a master of public health from
Johns Hopkins (Bloomberg) University. Since her graduation from residency, Dr.
Hosoda has worked as a family practitioner at La Clinica de la Raza in
Oakland, CA, caring for underserved patients, and has held an
assistant clinical faculty position at the University of San Francisco,
California. She moved back to Seattle in 2001,
where she worked at East Side Community Health Centers (now Healthpoint) in
Redmond, WA before accepting a faculty position with our program. She holds a
job-share position with Dr. Tanmeet Sethi. She is director of the behavioral
science curriculum at the Cherry Hill residency. She has as strong interest in
Mind-Body medicine and spirituality in medicine. She is married with two lovely
children. She enjoys all forms of fine arts/crafts, knitting, cooking, hiking
and is an aspiring gardener. She speaks Japanese, Spanish and Italian.
