The attending physicians for Swedish Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program will meet the following requirements:

• Be a member of the Active medical Staff at Swedish Medical Center/First Hill Campus which assures that the physicians are:

  • Licensed in the State of Washington

  • Carry professional liability insurance

  • Are in good standing on chart completion

  • Follow the by-laws and policies including professional behavior

  • Have privileges to perform the procedures they are involved in teaching

• Teaching panel attendings must demonstrate a sincere interest in teaching residents and permitting them meaningful involvement in the care of their patients.

• Their performance will be evaluated on an annual basis by the residents whom they teach.  Yearly re-appointments will be made in conjunction with the preparations for the faculty/resident curriculum retreat in the Spring.
