At the beginning of the R-1 year residents sign up for, or will be assigned, to 1 or 2 curriculum committee(s). After the annual Curriculum Day Retreat, each R-2 takes over as chairperson of their assigned curriculum committee and continues in this capacity until the following year's Curriculum Day when the succeeding R-2 takes over. Curriculum chairs are responsible for scheduling didactic lectures and keeping a notebook of all important information to pass on to the next chair.
