 My
early childhood and teenage years were spent in rural areas of the
Philippines where I first developed my interest in medicine. My home then
became the suburban Chicago area where I later went to Wheaton College. I
attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston followed by residency at
Madigan Army Medical Center. I joined Swedish Family Medicine in 1994 to
pursue my love of teaching.
Family Medicine is
entering a new era with our patients as we face the challenges of
applying the extensive amount of medical information available to our
individual patients. Our program is committed to providing each resident
with the tools to competently care for their patients using
evidence-based techniques and best-practice models.
