Faculty Advisor: Jay Fathi, MD This would be open to any R2s or R3s who wish to learn more about the realm of health care administration, public policy, advocacy, and effectively functioning on multidisciplinary teams undertaking significant systems change. The resident will regularly meet with the Medical Director of Primary Care and Community Health, attend meetings, and assist on salient ongoing projects. The resident may be assigned a practical project of their own. The rotation offers opportunities to attend committee meetings (Credentials Committee, Bylaws Committee, Medical Executive, Medical Staff Leadership, and departmental), meetings with outside organizations with which Swedish collaborates in the community (public health department, other community agencies), and to interact with senior administrative leadership at Swedish (CEO, CFO, president, VP Government and Community Affairs, Board of Trustee members, etc) who are instrumental in the operations and strategic vision of Swedish, and who are all committed to maintaining Swedish as a leader in primary care and community health affairs. The rotation may either be longitudinal/ongoing, or for a set time period. |
