Faculty Chair: Elizabeth Hutchinson, MD This elective will provide senior residents with additional outpatient experience in surgical and medical termination of pregnancy, as well as management of early pregnancy loss. Residents need to review this elective with their advisor and generate a final schedule at least 2 months prior to the first date of the elective. Residents will need to maintain their continuity clinic and participation in didactics and other regularly scheduled meetings. The below template has a vetted and well rated option for each half day not already scheduled with continuity clinics or other obligations. Once the schedule is finalized, ideally 2 months prior to the start of the elective, it needs to be forwarded to all the teachers below along with the resident’s contact information, to confirm availability.
Suggested Weekly Schedule:
*Start at 8:15 the first time for orientation, then 8:30 on subsequent days.

Dr. Sarah Prager Superb teacher and provider in early pregnancy loss management, and terminations. Works at HMC and Cedar River Clinics Tacoma. 8:30AM to 5:00PM, but come at 8:15AM on the first day. Wear scrubs and bring ID.
Dr. Eileen Gibbons She is one of our own Family Medicine physicians, graduate of Providence FMR, who has her own beautiful clinic in downtown Seattle: Seattle Wellness and Medical Center. Provides and teaches terminations. Wear scrubs, gown and white coat. Bring ID.
