University of Washington CAM Grant

Susan Reed, MD, MPH


Susan Reed, MD, MPH, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology with an adjunct appointment in the Department of Epidemiology.

She is an Affiliate Investigator at Center for Health Studies and at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. She served as the Clinical Services Director for the University of Washington Center of Excellence in Women's Health and currently is the Program Director for an NIH funded center teaching grant, the Women’s Reproductive Health Research (WRHR) Program.

She is active on the clinical teaching faculty with medical students and residents and participates as a lecturer in 3-4 graduate student courses, annually. Dr. Reed has a clinical practice at Harborview Medical Center and at the University of Washington Medical Center and she specializes in the care of women during the perimenopause and menopause.

 She was the co-PI for an NIH funded trial on Alternative Therapies for Menopause, a randomized controlled trial comparing placebo to herbal and diet therapies to traditional hormone replacement therapy. She is active as co_PI or PI on multiple other NIH funded studies.
