University of Washington CAM GrantRonald Schneeweiss, MBChB
Ron Schneeweiss, MBChB, is a UW Professor of Family Medicine and Principal Investigator for the CAM Curriculum grant.
Dr. Schneeweiss joined the Department of Family Medicine in 1977 and has held positions such as Residency Director, Head of the WWAMI Residency Network and past Chair of the Department (1990-98). He is actively involved in teaching, research and clinical practice. He has incorporated hypnosis into his clinical practice over the past 25 years.
Over the past five years he been the principal investigator on an NIH funded grant to integrate education about CAM in the University of Washington School of Medicine curriculum. He is dedicated to ensuring that the UW medical students are better informed and have more understanding of alternative healing methods. He is currently engaged in promoting the development of ‘Integrative Health Care’ clinical, educational and research programs throughout the academic health center.
